Mark Murphy is an Artist, Designer and Musician, based in Birmingham, UK.

Mark is a Graphic Designer who runs his own independent studio, surely creative design. Alongside design work during the past seven years he has enjoyed setting himself the challenge of making work in a purely analogue way. Seeking out weird and wonderful print from the last 60 years Mark creates both analogue and digital collages that play with graphic composition, juxtaposition, space, scale and surrealism. Sometimes abstract, sometimes figurative, often humorous.

He enjoys the chance element involved in making these works, the elements that present themselves, how they combine. Mark works from a shared studio space in Stirchley in the south west of Birmingham, close enough to a chocolate factory to smell flake in the air on a densely cloudy day.
